A Family Business, Built Like a Commercial Operation
Ewing Construction has been family-run since 2014, though the discipline on our job sites comes from decades of commercial-grade experience.
Started in 2014, Still Family-Run Today
Before Ewing Construction existed, Paul spent years on job sites that had nothing to do with building someone's dream home. He was managing multi-million dollar projects for the largest commercial construction companies in Utah. It's where Paul built the instincts that now show up on every Ewing project: how to keep a schedule honest, how to catch a problem before it costs someone money, how to run a site the same way whether it's a $30,000 remodel or a multi-million dollar commercial build.
In 2014, Paul decided to bring that discipline somewhere more personal, building custom homes for families across the Wasatch Front. We kept it small on purpose. No rotating project managers, no handoffs between departments. If you build with Ewing Construction, you're working directly with the two people who are actually accountable for your home from the first sketch to the final walkthrough.
The People Behind Every Build
Austin Ewing
Sales & Client RelationshipsAustin's path into construction didn't start behind a desk. In 2017, before leaving on his LDS mission, he took his first job as an apprentice with a local electrical company, learning the trade from the ground up, literally wire by wire.
When he came home, he found his way to Ewing Construction as a handyman, doing whatever the crews needed: framing, sheetrock, finished carpentry, and anything else that would teach him how a house actually comes together. That hands-on start is still the foundation of how he works today. Austin now walks every client through their project personally, from the first conversation about design and budget, through every decision along the way, to the final walkthrough. He's not managing your project from a distance. He's been on the other side of the drywall.
It's that combination of real jobsite experience and a genuine investment in getting to know every client that's helped build Ewing Construction's reputation as a builder Northern Utah families trust.
Paul Ewing
Site SuperintendentPaul is Ewing Construction's site superintendent, and he brings a level of experience that's rare for a company our size: over the course of his career, Paul has personally managed more than $300 million in construction projects. That means the same scheduling discipline, subcontractor coordination, and quality control used on large commercial jobs is applied to every custom home we build.
That's the total value of construction projects personally managed by our site superintendent, Paul Ewing, over the course of his career. It's the reason Ewing Construction can offer the personal attention of a family business alongside the process discipline of a much larger commercial contractor.
